 Privileged Pets was founded by Fiona Richards in 1995 as a home pet care service, catering to pet owners whosebusy lifestyle warrant extra attention for pets at home.Daily walks, lunch time walks, care of pets while their owners are away on vacation or on business trips. Those services give the customers peace of mind that their “loved ones” are given proper, loving care. What about when you have to take your pet to the vet for shots, well checks or post op check up? Privileged Pets can provide transportation in their custom built dog trailer. All pet sitters are there to make sure that the pets are in the best of care (see Meet The Sitters). You see, our hiring philosophy is to “only” hire customers and references from within our network. It has proven to be very successful, because our staff care about your pets as much as they do their own.Fiona along with the Privileged Pets Sitters have over 100 years combined pet care experience. Privileged Pets was awarded runner up in 1997 as Pet Sitter of the Year by Pet Sitters International, of which they are members of, www.petsit.com. Houston Pet Talk readers for the 3rd year in a row, have voted Privileged Pets Best in Show #1 Home Pet Care Provider for 2011. Services are not limited to dogs & cats, however. Privileged Pets also cares for horses, cattle, birds, fish, puppies & whelping bitches as well as exotics.Over the years , the company has seen additional need for services so in August 2000, the Boarding, Training & Doggie Day care was opened. Our lead trainer, Jack Richards, brings with him a wealth of experience & knowledge, offering not only training but behavioral consultations.Educating the community (Links Page) is high on the priority list for Privileged Pets, stressing the importance of a well trained dog as well as immunizations, spaying & neutering of pets.
